We at the Hebrew Wikivoyage community are currently trying to form a consistent clear policy regarding when certain places would be defined as 'disputed territories' + marked as such in the region sections' SVG/PNG maps (Grayed out regions in the regions sections) and Bread Crumb hierarchy. (it isn't currently clear if it should or should not appear in the Bread Crumb hierarchy as being part of the country that controls it.)

Please help us understand the Engvoy policy on this matter much better, so that we at the Hebvoy community would be able to create a smarter policy based on the many lessons the Engvoy community has learned about this issue over a relatively long period of time, by answering the five following questions:

  1. Do you have a clear consistent policy on the matter? if so, please link to it
  2. If such a policy exists, is the policy applied (or supposed to be applied) sweepingly to all articles about "internationally disputed territories", and region articles above them in the hierarchy which mentions them in the 'Regions' sections? or is there a consensus about this policy being applied non-consistently to these articles?
  3. How exctly do you define if a particular region is considered an "internationally disputed territories" or not? (Should all the territories which were defined as "disputed territories" on this article in Wikipedia be defined as "disputed territories" on Wikivoyage as well?)
  4. How did the Engvoy community in practice reached a clear decision on how to classify these regions as "internationally disputed territories"? (Did you have separate votings? or did you define these regions as "internationally disputed territories" based on consensus reached in the discussion pages?)
  5. is your aim to present "internationally disputed territories" in a 'neutral' way in order to not choose a side in the conflict over the disputed territories? Do travelers, in your opinion, benefit from us not choosing to side with one party's territorial claims in a territorial dispute?

One alternative to the current 'disputed territories' policy, that is common place in all of the Wikivoyage editions, which has been recently brought up in the Hebrew Wikivoyage community, entails that... ....אנא רשום כאן את הצעתך... ....We are very interested in hearing the opinions of Engvoy users whom have vast experience editing the 'disputed territories' articles in the English Wikivoyage - please explain why in your opinion such a solution would or would not work well on Wikivoyage (even though we are talking about a different Wikivoyage edition)
